SalesReach Telecom Winter 2016 v4.1 Released


Major release adds CSPQ (Configure, Source, Price, Quote) and major enhancements to SalesReach Commissions

SalesReach Telecom Winter 2016 v4.1 has been released.  It will be the installed package for all new customers.  Many existing customers have already had the upgrade pushed to them.  Several customers have requested that before we push upgrades to the we inform them of the scope of the changes and enhancements. This is that notice.

What has changed in Winter 2016 V4.1?

Quoting:  QuoteReach has been decommissioned.  The updated quoting component of SalesReach Telecom is called SalesReach CSPQ. CSPQ stands for Configure, Source, Price and Quote.  This powerful new tool allows our rapidly growing list of carrier and reseller customers to more efficiently do exactly what the name implies – Configure their products, find the best Source of supply, use extensive Price calculation rules to compute and apply markups and set pricing and finally Quote the requested items, fully configured including all additional components – even those the user forgot to include.

Commissions:  SalesReach commissions has been enhanced with the addition of two major new functions.

First twenty additional data fields have been added.  The fields may be used by customers to import additional data from billing systems or supplier commission reports.  Each of the fields has a generic name that can be changed by the customer. Second, a new free extension app “SalesReach Commission History” is now generally available to add to your SalesReach Commission app.  It provides static copies of your Opportunity Commission records allowing customers with high volumes of opportunity commission imports to:

  • Eliminate potential bottlenecks caused by salesforce.com govenor limits that restrict record processing when over 100,000 records are simultaneously accessed.
  • Provide a new, static source for reporting information that greatly expands the amount of data from which customer specific custom reports may be generated.

Modification of field names now generally available

All field names in SalesReach Telecom can be modified by the customer now as follows:

Setup… Translation…Override…SalesReach Telecom…Custom Field…Imported Commissions…Field Labels.  Then type the new label into the Field Label Override and press save.  This can be done for all fields for all SalesReach applications now.

Modification of Field Level Security to view or edit the new fields

All users who process commissions must have their profiles updated to allow access to these fields.

Under Setup…Manage Users…Profiles select the profile for each user who imports, edits or views commission data and edit the Field Level Security by checking Visible for each field in the graphic below.

SalesReach Commission Field Name Changes

There are a set of field name changes that have been initiated by customer demand.  The following table shows each old field name value, the new name of the respective field and the Salesforce.com API name which remains the same on both the old and new versions.  If you wish to keep the old field names, simply follow the process shown above to reset them to the prior name.

All existing customers of SalesReach Telecom who have not previously been upgraded will receive the push upgrade on January 1, 2016.  Thereafter all upgrades, will be automated and pushed at the time of the scheduled release.  You will be notified prior to any release of the changes forthcoming.
